Make up should be a light touch on top of healthy skin. Use a light serum as a base for make-up. Overloading the skin with products is what unsettles it.
Eye makeup is all about mixing and blending tonal colours. Once you have applied different shades to lids and brow, blend colours using an eye shadow brush, blending the middle shade to bring the colours together. TipA white or light pink or pale yellow in the inner corner of the eye ‘opens’ eye up … ‘great’ for photos! New Season TipsLilac and brown are very wearable and flattering to all skin tones.
Lips Use a lip liner in the same shade as your lips. Do not take into the corners of the lips. Apply lipstick, blot and add lip gloss- centre of lips for day wear and all over the lips for evening. Gives lift. TipA coloured lip gloss can change the lipstick from too brown, too red, too orange. Have a makeover / makeup evening with friends. Book a make up artist to come to your home or visit: eg. Space NK as a group and have a makeover/ makeup party. A makeup artist can give you the look and also show you how to achieve it yourself! |

Face A touch of clear gloss applied outwards along the top of the cheek bones gives instant highlight and lift. Sweep darker powdered blush slightly below the jaw line on each side, up and towards the ear to give definition and lift and to disguise any jowls! This gives good results in day and evening makeup and is particularly effective for photographs.
